My First Poem

The future, it looks so bright 
too bright to even see
The future, it’s beginning to dim its lights
Nothing is a guarantee

The future, filled with uncertainty 
pushing you to do your best
The future, drawing creativity 
to be expressed 

The future, can be anything 
however, the choice is out of sight 
The future, no point in worshiping 
you may never get out of your plight

The future, an unattainable dream 
yet believed to be reality 
The future, yet to show itself 
but is still followed unfortunately

The future, it paralyses the unprepared 
leading to failure 
The future, still undeclared 
prowling for it, human behaviour 

The future, surprising you with what it drops 
not even giving you a choice
The future, it eventually comes to a stop.
However, only for you.
